Waltz With Bashir & The Class
The Class ends with a tremendous feat of sound design. We leave the crowded schoolyard, visually, for a shot of the empty classroom. Some chairs are overturned, the camera rests at a position it took frequently during the film, and as the sound from the schoolyard drifts up into the room, we visualize the students sitting in their now empty chairs. The picture fades out, and the credits roll to only the chirp of insects. No music.
